My name is Sharifah Mian and I will be the producer and director of Lost Online.

 

But why me?

 

Well firstly, I came up with the premise of the film, so who better to take charge of the production than the person who knows exactly  how it's supposed to look and feel..? I'm kidding of course. In all seriousness I feel very close to the topic as I am someone who's battled with the subject of social media. Is it good or bad? Is it creating more harm to society than benefiting it? I've personally chosen to see the positive sides of it, whilst acknowledging the negative and I want to help others do the same.

From a young age, I've had an interest in creating innovative ways to present information or ideas as I've never liked the concept of my audience being passive when they watched or listened to something. I've also had experience in working with ​interactivity in videos and films. This ranges from creating fun little games on YouTube, to interactive documentaries.

All of the websites and apps that will be used in Lost Online are ones that I've used myself so will understand exactly how they work so I can get the best use out of them in the film.
