Impact
Given that every website/app that Lost Online will be using has a different demographic, it's hard to say where it sits in terms its audience. For example, 52% of Snapchat users are aged 16-24 (Statistica, 2016) whereas 49% of Facebook users are 20-39 (Statistica, 2016). There isn't one specific age group that's using social media which I can target my film at. Therefore I have to target my film based on it's style and narrative. Lost Online will be targeted at a somewhat younger audience around 15 - 25 because it is about two people in their early twenties, so they will easily be able to identify with the characters. My secondary audience would be anyone older than this, who are open minded and want to see a different perspective to social media than what is seen on the news and such.

I am going to Facebook & Twitter fan page and I will regularly post updates in order to attract attention. Once the pages build up a small following, I am going to post questions and polls in order to create a dialogue with the audience. For example, I have a number of logo designs. I could allow the "fans" to choose which design should be the official logo for the film. This fits very well with Lost Online because they will both require interactivity.

I can imagine my film playing at exhibitions centered around interactive media. At the exhibition, I would have a small booth with a couple of laptops, where people can come in and watch/play Lost Online. The film will not be made for a giant cinema, especially because it will be largely created through a MacBook. In order to get it into exhibitions, I feel that I first need to get recognition from film festivals.

Film Festivals
I think entering film festivals is the best route to take in order for my film to get exposure.
I have researched a range of festivals and settled with the four that I think are perfect for Lost Online.
